We hope to give a nice resource here for teachers, homeschool families, community groups, etc. to use in learning and teaching about black history. We will divide these into various categories as we (and hopefully some of you) develop this page. My husband and I make these wooden train stories using stop motion. I make little road signs, print roads, paint cobblestones and a friend painted a brilliant backdrop for it. Not exactly conventional crafts!

The son of slaves, he was born in Virginia in 1875. While earning his Ph.D. from Harvard, the scholar was disturbed to find that history books largely ignored the American black population.
